Loose moose sedated after trek through Fairview

The moose is no longer on the loose.
He is safe and sound with Department of Natural Resources after being corralled and tranquilized late this morning.
The adventure for Mr. Moose began around 5am Thursday, when he was first spotted by early commuters in the area of Joe Howe and Dutch Village Road.
The sightings continued up until about 10am, when George Shute noticed him wander through the gate at his business at Main and Dunbrack.
Wildlife staff tranquilized the two-and-half-year-old bull moose and assessed its health before removing it by truck.
Mr. Moose is going to be released back into his natural habitat there is no word on how or why he wandered so far from home.
