Chronicle Herald charging for web content

It is now going to cost you to read the Chronicle Herald on-line.

The decision to install a pay wall was announced last night in a statement posted to the paper’s website.

Readers who want the newspaper, or prefer to read on their computers or on their mobile devices and tablets, “We’re asking consumers to pay for our product.”, said Publisher Sarah Dennis.

Readers are allowed 10 free views a month before the paywall kicks in, and subscribers to the paper will not be effected.

Those who are not subscribers can buy a digital subscription to gain access to the site for a fee of 3 dollars a week.
