Charges laid in Bayers Road bar shooting

Halifax Police have charged a man in a shooting at a Bayers Road bar in early July.

A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the early morning hours of July 6 after a man walked up to the Red Fox Bar & Grill on Bayers Road, as the victim was leaving, and started shooting at him.

Adam Joseph Drake, 22, is charged with attempted murder and weapons offences.

Police say they made an arrest in the shooting yesterday afternoon at a Hunter Street address without incident.
