Fire destroys home on Old Sambro Road

A fire has completely destroyed a home on Old Sambro Road.

Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency were called to the scene at 3:05 a.m. Monday morning to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

“We had roughly 25 firefighters and 12 apparatus on scene,” explained Lt. Jodi Payne. “Took about an hour for us to get it under control.”

Payne says the two-storey home was up for sale and no one was home at the time.

“The fire will be under investigation,” added Payne. “The home is completely destroyed, there’s nothing standing.”

No one was injured.
