Panel appointed to review Nova Scotia MLA remuneration

A three-member panel has been finalized to review Nova Scotia MLA salaries, pensions and benefits.
It includes former Auditor General Roy Salmon, Nurses Union President Janet Hazelton and consumer advocate John Merrick.
“I want to thank the panel members for agreeing to take on this important work,” said Speaker of the House of Assembly Kevin Murphy. “The House of Assembly welcomes the expertise the panel members bring to the table, and will do all we can to support them as they begin the task before them.”
The panel will start its work in the new year and present its findings by the end of March.
