Seahorse Tavern owner says bar not closing, despite reports

The owner of a popular downtown Halifax bar says it isn’t closing, despite media reports to the contrary.
Frank Magazine published a story Tuesday afternoon claiming the Seahorse Tavern would soon be closing.
But owner Victor Syperek tells News 95-7 that’s not the case.
“The Seahorse is doing better now than it has in years, actually,” said Syperek.
“The construction has definitely put a damper on, I would say, all of the business downtown … but I guess when it’s all finished, it’ll be a good thing.”
Frank has since published an “update,” quoting Syperek as saying the Seahorse will never close.
