Homicide investigators make arrest in Enfield shooting

RCMP say an arrest has been made in connection to yesterday’s fatal shooting on Stage Road in Enfield.
A 53-year-old man was taken into custody around 6 a.m. today in Kentville without incident after homicide investigators searched an apartment building in that town.
Corporal Greg Church with Halifax RCMP said with the ongoing investigation, they cannot say at this time if police are looking for any other suspects, or if the suspect and victim were known to each other.
Police now confirm the deceased is a 47-year-old man from Bedford.
Investigators from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section remain on scene in Enfield.
Around 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, police arrived on Stage Road responding to a weapons complaint, when they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
First responders attempted to revive the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
