Just before 2 a.m., officers received a report of a robbery near Maynard Street and Cunard Streets and upon arrival, police found a man who was assaulted by a group of six people and had his wallet stolen.
The 34-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects are described as three black women and three black men in their late teen’s or early 20’s. No clothing description is available according to police.
About a half-hour later at 2:30 a.m., officers were called to Gottingen Street between Cogswell Street and Cornwallis Street where a man had been earlier been assaulted near Cogswell Street and North Park Street.
His wallet was also stolen.
The 58-year-old was assessed by paramedics on the scene but didn’t require a trip to hospital.
