Man killed when struck in Walmart parking lot

One man is dead and another has been arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle last night.
It happened in the Walmart parking lot on Mumford Road at 11:18 p.m.
Police say a 24-year-old died at the scene of his injuries, and the 52-year-old Halifax man who was driving the truck is in custody.
Investigators are still looking into the incident, but don’t believe alcohol was a factor.
They are expected to release more details later today.
