HRM is asking residents to avoid parking in certain areas of Halifax and Dartmouth, along with cul-de-sacs in residential areas as crews continue removing snow banks and widening streets.
People are being asked to not park in the following locations between 8 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday:
-Ochterloney Street from Alderney Drive to Irishtown Road
-Edward Street from Ochterloney Street to North Street
-King Street from Ochterloney Street to North Street
-Gottingen Street from Uniacke Street to Rainnie Drive
-Brunswick Street from Duke Street to Spring Garden Road
-Hollis Street
-Quinpool Road
-Cul-de-sacs in all residential areas
Although the municipality is not enforcing the parking ban overnight, cars can still be ticketed or towed under the province’s Motor Vehicle Act if they get in the way of snow clearing operations.
