Police investigate bank robbery involving three masked men

HALIFAX – Regional Police are investigating a brazen daylight bank robbery Thursday afternoon in Bedford which saw one male bank employee assaulted and three suspects on the run.
Police say three white males entered the Bank of Montreal location at 620 Nine Mile Drive in Halifax around 4:05 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators says all of the males were wearing masks and witnesses say one of the suspects had a hand gun.
The suspects demanded money and the male with the gun struck one of the clerks in the head with the gun.
The suspects were given an undisclosed amount of cash and quickly exited the bank.
Police say all three men jumped into a grey Mazda 3 and were last spotted driving on to Larry Uteck Blvd. before heading inbound toward Halifax on Hwy 102.
The clerk was later assessed and treated by paramedics at the bank and did not need to attend the hospital.
