RCMP investigate bomb threat at Digby Walmart

DIGBY, N.S. – RCMP in Digby, N.S., continue to investigate a bomb threat called into the local Walmart store Sunday afternoon that turned out to be a hoax.
Police said in a release that employees at the store received a call around 3 p.m. Sunday from an anonymous man claiming to have left an explosive device inside the store.
The call prompted an evacuation of the store while police, fire crews and EHS responded to the scene and cordoned off the building.
The Explosives Disposal Unit with the RCMP along with a K9 searched the building and found no explosives.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
