Pair face drug charges after Fairview search

HALIFAX – A man and woman from Halifax face charges after a drug search in Fairview on Wednesday night.
Regional Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Val Street around 11 p.m. Wednesday, where officers seized a quantity cocaine and drug paraphenalia.
Marshall Burgess, 25, and Katelyn Gunn, 24, have been charged with one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine.
Burgess was also charged with resisting arrest and two counts of breach of recognizance.
He was scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday while Gunn will appear in court at a later date.
