Police want to speak with driver who told boy to ‘get in the car’

Halifax Regional Police say a boy walking in Clayton Park on Tuesday was approached by a driver who rolled down his window and told the 9-year-old to “get in the car.”

They say the man in the black four-door sedan, which might have been a Toyota, pulled over on Carrington Place between 3 and 3:15 p.m. to talk to the boy.

The child ran to his sister, who was walking ahead of him, and the two went home and told their parents.
