Lavoie cut from world junior camp roster

By Dan Ahlstrand

One of the two Halifax Mooseheads invited to the world junior hockey tournament selection camp is coming home.

Raphael Lavoie was released by Team Canada after Thursday night's 5-3 loss to the U Sports all stars.

Earlier in the day, it was announced the 18-year-old would play in the CHL Top Prospects Game in January.

Defenceman Jared McIsaac remains at the camp, with many suggesting he will be one of the 22 players on the final roster when the tournament beings on Boxing Day.

Team Canada takes on Denmark at 9 p.m. Atlantic time, and you can listen to all of the action live from British Columbia on NEWS 95.7.
