Jack 92.9 helps raise over $20,000 for the SPCA

Jack 92.9 has helped raise over $20,000 for the Nova Scotia SPCA.

That's more than double their original goal of $10,000.

After getting an initial $5,000 in donations, on Friday, morning show hosts Griff Henderson and Caroline Parker entered an enclosure at Mic Mac Mall, vowing to stay until they raised another $5,000.

The pair did their broadcast live starting at 5:30 a.m. When they reached their $10,000 goal by 8 a.m., they decided to keep going.

By the time they left the large fenced-in kennel at 6 p.m., $20,400 in donations had been received, the biggest one day fundraiser ever for the SPCA.

The money will be used to provide life-saving support to local animals in need.
