Students at the Nova Scotia Community College can expect to pay more to go to school there over the next few years.
The College announcing tuition will be increasing by about $100 each year for the next three years.. According to a release from the school, the increase will offset program delivery costs, and help deliver a balanced budget.
By the 2021-2022 academic year, tuition for full time 'core' programs will be $3,620.
NSCC President Don Bureaux says, “As Nova Scotia’s Community College, with campuses in communities across the province, we continue to work to keep our commitment to offer quality programming that is accessible and affordable.”
Some programs – already outside the standard tuition fee structure – will not see tuition increases.
Those programs include, but are not limited to Health Information Management, Heavy Equipment Operator and Aviation Programs (Avionics, Mechanical and Structures). With support from the province, NSCC continues to offer its Adult Learning Program and English for Academic Purposes program at no cost to students.
