Nelson Whynder Elementary closed Friday due to power outage

A power outage has forced the closure of a school in North Preston on Friday. 

According to the Halifax Regional Centre for Education, Nelson Whynder Elementary in North Preston will be closed Friday because there's no power.

The outage reaches from the Cherry Brook area into North Preston, and is impacting 141 customers. 

All other schools in HRCE are open.
