Man charged with intimidating a justice participant

By CityNews Halifax Staff

A Halifax man has been charged with three counts of intimidating a justice participant.

RCMP say the accused interacted with a uniformed peace officer while they were working twice in late 2016.

Police say in early 2017, social media posts from the accused contained “personal and concerning information” about that peace officer and their family.

On Sunday, a different peace officer went into a Hubbards business, and Mounties say the accused made concerning statements about both that officer and the officer from 2016.

Police arrested the man Wednesday afternoon at the St. Margarets Bay Rd. business.

Wayne Joseph Misener, 45, appeared in court this morning and is scheduled to return this afternoon.
