Two teens are facing charges after a convenience store robbery in Dartmouth Sunday.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Jake’s Video on Portland Street just before 4:15 p.m.

They say a male with sensory irritant spray threatened an employee.

Police say the masked suspect then grabbed the cash register and ran off, leaving the staff member with minor injures.

A 15-year-old female was arrested at the scene. She's been charged with robbery and has been released from police custody with a promise to appear in youth court.

Just before 7 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old male at a home on Prince Albert Road. He's been charged with robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of court orders.

Police plan to keep him in custody until his bail hearing and are still looking for the items stolen from the business.
