Man charged after search of Hammonds Plains home

A Hammonds Plains man is facing charges after the search of a home in that community.
RCMP say they seized a firearm and ammunition during the search on Glen Arbour Way Wednesday morning.
A man and a woman were arrested at the scene, but the woman has been released without charges.
Benjamin Thomas Dimock, 27, has been charged with the following:
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized
- Three counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a court order
- Two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance
Dimlock had his first court appearance yesterday and is scheduled to return tomorrow morning.
