McIsaac dealt to Moncton in exchange for draft picks

The Halifax Mooseheads have traded defenceman Jared McIsaac to Moncton, where he'll join his former Moose teammate Benoit-Olivier Groulx.
In exchange, the Herd gets a 1st round pick (MON) in 2022, a 3rd round pick (BAT) in 2020, a 3rd round pick (MON) in 2021 and a 5th round pick (MON) in 2022.
McIsaac became a Moosehead after being picked second overall in the 2016 QMJHL Entry Draft.
He has 143 career points, which is second in franchise history for a defenceman.
In 2018, the Truro native was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the second round.
The QMJHL trade period closed at 1 p.m. Monday.
Earlier today, the Mooseheads announced they had traded forward Raphael Lavoie to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, and acquired 17-year-old forward Alexandre David from Acadie-Bathurst in exchange for Cole Stewart and a 5th round pick.
