New Brunswick man faces murder charge after woman found dead at Hillsborough home

HILLSBOROUGH, N.B. — A New Brunswick man has been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the death of a Hillsborough woman he was living with.

Police say 43-year-old Tina Tingley-McAleer was found dead at a residence along Main Street in the small, southeastern New Brunswick community of Hillsborough on Saturday morning.

Shortly after the discovery, police arrested a man who was driving a vehicle a few kilometres from the residence.

An autopsy is scheduled to assist in determining the exact cause of death.

Forty-nine-year-old Calvin Andrew Lewis has been charged with first-degree murder in Tingley-McAleer’s death, and is to appear in Moncton provincial court on Monday.
