A medevac flight has landed safely at Halifax Stanfield Internation Airport after declaring an emergency earlier this evening.
An airport spokesperson said the pilot declared an emergency to the tower and the Emergency Response Services were placed on standby.
“The aircraft landed safely on runway 32 at approximately 5:15 p.m.,” said an emailed statement from an airport spokesperson. “The ERS team then conducted standard runway and aircraft inspections.”
It was determined that no further assistance was required.
The spokesperson said because it was not a commercial flight, details can't be provided on what caused the emergency to be declared.
“Our role is to provide emergency response and support as needed.”
