Dartmouth man arrested in New Brunswick after car stolen from Halifax gas station

A Dartmouth man has been arrested in New Brunswick after a car was stolen from a Halifax gas station late last month.
Halifax Regional Police say the owner was inside the Shell on Robie Street just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 30 when a man drove off in the vehicle that had been parked at the pumps.
Shortly after that, the Needs convenience store on Herring Cove Rd. near Chocolate Lake was robbed.
Police say a man threatened a clerk at the store with a knife and demanded and left with cash, driving off in a car.
RCMP officers with New Brunswick's St. George detachment arrested a suspect last Monday and say he was in possession of the stolen vehicle.
Halifax Regional Police investigators travelled to the province to bring him back here.
Raymond Gary Stroud, 37, of Dartmouth was scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8 charged with robbery with a weapon, theft of a motor vehicle, breach of probation, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, uttering threats and prohibition to operate a conveyance.
