Lawrencetown man charged with attempted murder in road rage incident
A 26-year-old man is facing several charges, including attempted murder, after a road rage incident in the Lawrencetown area.
RCMP believe it began before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24 on Ross Rd. The victim told police he was driving southbound when he noticed a red vehicle behind him.
The victim then turned left onto Lawrencetown Rd. and the red vehicle tried to pass him.

Mounties say, while in the oncoming lane, the driver of the red vehicle made a threatening gesture then got back behind the victim.
The victim pulled into a parking lot off of Lawrencetown Rd., and when the red vehicle followed, he got out to speak with the other driver.
“The driver turned around and drove straight towards him,” RCMP said in a news release. “The victim tried to move out of the way but was struck by the side of the vehicle.”
Police say the driver took off leaving the 49-year-old man from Lawrencetown with non-life-threatening injuries.
Soon after the incident, officers arrested John Alexander Garnier of Lawrencetown.

He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on March 30 at 9:30 a.m. to face the following charges:
