MacKay Bridge reopens following unknown incident (update)
The MacKay Bridge has reopened to traffic following an unknown incident Friday morning.
Halifax Regional Police were on scene and issued a tweet at 8:45 a.m. to say there was no risk to public safety.
Emergency crews could be seen on the bridge. Halifax Fire and Emergency was also responding.

The closure caused significant delays for travellers during the morning commute and caused some Halifax Transit routes to detour.
Police have not yet released any further information.
