‘Gas guru’ George Murphy dies

A longtime contributor to the HalifaxToday.ca/NEWS 95.7 has died.

George Murphy with Consumers for Fair Gas Prices passed away suddenly on Saturday at his home in Newfoundland.

Murphy has been heard on the radio in Halifax since the late 1990s, including on The Rick Howe Show, giving his insight on the oil and gas market.

He also served as a Member of the House of Assembly in Newfoundland and Labrador from 2011 to 2015.

George Murphy was 58.
