Brush fire near Canada Games Centre affects afternoon commute

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, drivers are being asked to avoid a section of Lacewood Drive near the Canada Game Centre.

Emergency crews are dealing with a brush fire in the area.

“Traffic in the area is very congested so it is recommended motorists choose an alternate route,” officials say.

As of 5:45 p.m. Highway 102 has reopened to traffic.
