Man charged in Friday night stabbing

A 22-year-old man is facing several charges after a stabbing Friday night in Dartmouth.

Halifax Regional Police say people were fighting on Alderney Drive near Alderney Landing.

When officers arrived at around 10 p.m., they found a man who had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Justin Jay William Tecomba was arrested at the scene and was scheduled to appear in court yesterday to face charges of assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and assaulting a police officer.
