Andy Fillmore re-elected in Halifax

Liberal incumbent Andy Fillmore has been re-elected in Halifax.

Fillmore was first elected in the riding when the Liberals swept Atlantic Canada in 2015. It was the first time since 1997 an NDP candidate didn't win the riding. He was re-elected in 2019.

As of 4:19 a.m. with 183 of 184 polls reporting, Fillmore has 20,703 votes or 42 per cent.

Carrying the NDP banner is former Halifax Needham MLA Lisa Roberts, who has 19,404 votes or 40 per cent.

The Conservatives' Cameron Ells has 6,299 votes, Jo-Ann Roberts of the Green Party has 1,083 votes, B. Alexander Hébert of the People's Party of Canada has 1,037 votes and Katie Campbell of the Communist Party of Canada has 192 votes.
