Local rinks get provincial funding for upgrades
Some local ice surfaces will be getting provincial funding for upgrades.
The Dartmouth Curling Club, Eastern Shore Recreation Commission, Head of St. Margaret's Bay Recreation Association and Mayflower Curling Club are among 33 rinks in Nova Scotia receiving a total of almost $1 million for improvements including score clocks, accessible entrance doors, upgraded refrigeration, foundation repairs and new rink board glass.
The program is called Rink Revitalization Fund and applications are now open for the next round. The deadline for submission is February 14.
