Halifax Regional Police investigating early morning homicide on Hollis St.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in Halifax early this morning.
 
At approximately 3:49 a.m., police responded to a weapons call in the 1600 block of Hollis St. Upon arriving on scene, officers located a man in his twenties who had been shot. The man was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Investigators remain on scene and vehicular and pedestrian traffic is being rerouted. Please use alternate routes to avoid delays.
 
The investigation is in the early stages, and police are asking anyone with information or video from the area to contact police at 902-490-5020.
