Small drop in gas prices expected for N.S. this week

By Dan Ahlstrand

A small drop in price expected at gasoline pumps in Nova Scotia this week.

That is the prediction from managing director and market analyst with Price Street, Rory Johnston, who says the market is extremely volatile again, but there is room to see gasoline drop by about two cents this week.

Johnston tells CityNews 95.7 that prices are getting a bit of a helping hand this week by an increase in value of the Canadian dollar.

Across the border in New Brunswick, the big swings in price continue. Just a day after invoking the interrupter clause to drop the price by about 9 cents per litre, that province's regulator has again raised prices, this time by 9.8 cent to a new maximum price of 173.8.
