Saturday is Recreation Day in HRM

The Halifax Regional Municipality is celebrating the benefits of recreation this weekend.

Saturday is Recreation Day, and there's a long list of free activities and events being offered up at recreation centres and facilities across the municipality.

That includes a free family event at the Emera Oval featuring Glow inflatables and other activities.

The Findlay Community Centre Dartmouth will be running a free children's Nature Adventure Program.

Sackville Sports Stadium is offering several free activities for children, youth, and adults, including yoga, intro to boxing classes, lacrosse and soccer games, and arts and crafts.

There will also be free open swims at Needham Pool, the Sackville Sports Stadium and Captain William Spry Wave Pool.
