Halifax police seek information, video from public in Dartmouth shooting death

Halifax police are seeking the public’s assistance in a homicide investigation after a 34-year-old man was killed in a shooting in the city.

The medical examiner’s office says Nelson Tyrelle Beals’ death early on Saturday was the result of gunshot wounds.

Police were called to Viscaya Place road in the Montebello neighbourhood of Dartmouth in the early hours of Saturday morning. 

Investigators say when they arrived they found a man who had died as a result of his wounds.

The city police have issued a call for anyone with video of the area between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. to share it in hopes it provides leads on the case.
