Another driver charged with stunting

By Meghan Groff

Another driver has been charged with stunting.

Halifax Regional Police say an officer pulled him over on Highway 102 near the airport at around 7:20 a.m. Thursday.

They say the vehicle was going 153 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

A stunting charge is automatic for any vehicle going more than 50 km/h over the limit.

A 55-year-old man was handed a ticket for $2,422.50, six points were assigned to his record, he's been suspended from driving for a week and the vehicle was impounded.

HRP say he was also fined for failing to provide proof of insurance and failing to display driver's licence on the demand of a peace officer.

Anyone who sees a dangerous driver is asked to call 911.
