Public schools to remain closed in HRM on Monday

Public school classes have been cancelled for Monday, Sept. 26 in the Halifax Regional Municipality. 

The cancellations are a result of continued power outages and unsafe road conditions. 

The decision was based on recommendations from the provincial Emergency Management Office. 

Further updates will be provided on Monday, Sept. 26. 

In a news release, officials say they are “assessing all schools and ensuring that buildings and properties are safe before the return of students and staff.”
