Applications now being accepted for Heating Assistance Rebate Program

By CityNews Halifax Staff

If you qualify for the Heating Assistance Rebate Program (HARP), you can now submit your application for the 2022-23 heating season.

The program provides a rebate of up to $200 to eligible low-income Nova Scotians.

In order to qualify, you must pay for your own heat, and make no more than $29,000 a year for single-income households and $44,000 a year for family-income households.

The rebate amount is based on your 2021 net income.

Apply online or get an application form at Access Nova Scotia, Community Services or an MLA office near you.

On average, 45,000 Nova Scotians get a rebate to help with home heating costs through HARP.
