Big drop in prices at the pumps

By Dan Ahlstrand

There was a major drop in the price for gasoline in Nova Scotia overnight.

The provincial regulator moved the minimum price for self serve regular down by 11.7 cents to 161.7.

Friday's drop, coupled with a drop of seven cents on Tuesday after the provincial regulator brought in the interrupter clause means a litre of gasoline in 18.7 cheaper today than it was last Friday.

Diesel prices are also down on Friday, with the price for fuel slipping by 5.7 cents at midnight to 256.2.

One year ago we were paying $1.40 for both gasoline and for diesel.
