The disappearance of a local teen has been added to the provincial program that offers money for information on major unsolved crimes.
Devon Sinclair Marsman was last seen in the Halifax area on February 24 and hasn't been heard from since.
The then 16-year-old was reported missing by family members on March 4.
Halifax Regional Police have said they consider his disappearance to be suspicious and they believe there are people who have information that could help find him.
Now, the province is offering up a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
“We urge anyone with information about this missing teenager to reach out to the rewards program,” said Minister of Justice Brad in a news release. “Investigators are asking for the public's help on behalf of his family.”
Devon is described as African Nova Scotian, about 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, with blue-green eyes and short dark hair.
When last seen, he was wearing a hooded sweater and jeans.
The Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program can be reached by calling 1-888-710-9090. All calls are recorded and those who come forward must provide their name and contact information, and may be called to testify in court.
