Nine charged after search of Halifax home

Nine people are facing charges in an ongoing police investigation.

Halifax Regional Police say officers searched a Halifax home just after midnight Wednesday.

They say they seized cocaine, fentanyl, morphine, hydromorphone, dextroamphetamine, cash, a conductive energy weapon and two loaded firearms. 

The accused are:

  • Vincent Cain, 24-years-old
  • Christopher John Clayton, 52-years-old
  • George Allen Clayton, 57-years-old
  • Troy Edward William Clayton, 56-years-old
  • Tyshaun Crawley, 20-years-old
  • Brittany Jessica Green, 33-years-old
  • Rebecca Elizabeth Moir, 38-years-old
  • Vincent Leroy Ross, 53-years-old
  • Emanuel Sparks, 19-years-old

All will appear in court today to face the following charges:

  • Possession for the purposes of trafficking (5 counts)
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace (3 counts)
  • Possession of firearm/prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime (2 counts)
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition (2 counts)
  • Possession of a firearm without a license (2 counts)
  • Storing a firearm or restricted weapon contrary to regulations (2 counts)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2 counts)
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon or ammunition without a license
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Tampering with the serial number of a firearm

In addition, Rebecca Moir and George Clayton are facing four counts each of possession of a firearm contrary to a court order and Troy Clayton is facing seven counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a court order.
