The Halifax Regional Municipality will be hosting adaptive equipment Try It Day this weekend.

The drop-in event gives parents and children with diverse needs an opportunity to explore HRM's accessible outdoor equipment.

“Staff from Parks and Recreation’s Inclusion and Accessibility team will be on-site with the municipality’s inventory of accessible outdoor equipment, including adaptive snow equipment, hippocampe with ski attachment, kick sleds, sledges, loose part play, and more,” said HRM in a news release.

It goes Saturday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shubie Park's Fairbanks Centre near the park's entrance at 54 Locks Road.

An ASL interpreter will be available.

All are welcome and no advanced registration is required.
