A young man is facing charges after a robbery Friday night in Halifax.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Charles Street east of Windsor at around 9 p.m.

They say two men were meeting after arranging the purchase of an item through an online marketplace.

“The seller demanded money and presented what is believed to be a firearm then fled the area on foot empty-handed,” police said in a news release.

A suspect was soon arrested.

Nakell Louis Grandy, 19, was scheduled to appear in court Monday to face one count of robbery with a firearm and three counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a probation order.
