Halifax police charge man following crash in Dartmouth

Regional police have charged a man in connection to a crash in Dartmouth over the weekend.

On Sunday at roughly 3:30 p.m., police responded to a vehicle collision on Pleasant Street where the driver of a truck backed into a parked vehicle and then left the area before officers arrived on the scene. 
 
At 3:44 p.m., police responded to a report of a truck that had crashed into a power pole in the area of Mount Hope Avenue and Highway 111. 

The truck and the driver matched the description from the earlier incident on Pleasant Street, and officers arrested him at the scene without incident.

Justin Anthony Bishop, 22, was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court Monday to face charges of operation of a conveyance while impaired, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, obstructing police and failure to comply with a probation order.
