Mooseheads hold on to defeat Saint John 4-3

The Halifax Mooseheads held on to defeat the Saint John Sea Dogs 4-3 on Friday night.

The Mooseheads drew first blood as Jordan Dumais netted his 50th goal of the regular season.

Vince Élie managed to sneak one in late in the first period to make it 1-1 heading into the second.

Attilio Biasca put the Herd back on top, with Evan Boucher following up seconds later to make it 3-1 Halifax.

Alexandre Doucet scored a short-handed goal to increase the Herd's lead by three.

Saint John attempted a late comeback with Peter Reynolds and Danny Akkouche netting a pair of goals, but the Herd held on to take it 4-3.

The Mooseheads are back in action on Sunday when they welcome the Moncton Wildcats.
