Four people charged with multiple firearms and drug trafficking offenses

Four people are facing numerous firearms and drug trafficking charges following searches in Dartmouth on Thursday.

At roughly 5:35 a.m., officers searched a home on Leaman Drive in connection to a drug trafficking and firearms investigation. Investigators also searched a storage locker at a facility in Dartmouth related to the investigation.

Police say four people were arrested at the home and investigators seized two firearms, a starter pistol, ammunition, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription pills and over $10,000 in cash.

Sandra Lee Blagdon, 45, Christa Denise Dauphinee, 50, Larry Lynn Borden, 62, and James Allan O’Toole, 39, were all scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on Friday to face charges of:

  • Possession for the purposes of trafficking (x2)
  • Possession of a weapon obtained by a crime
  • Possession of a loaded firearm
  • Possession of a firearm without a license (x2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2)
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x2)
  • Storage of a firearm contrary to the regulations (x2)
  • Careless use of a firearm (x2)
  • Tampering with the serial number of a firearm

 

Dauphinee is also facing a charge of resisting arrest and failing to appear in relation to an outstanding warrant.
