Nova Scotia Health issues alert over “pink cocaine” in Halifax area

Nova Scotia Health has issued a drug alert for the Halifax area.

The health authority issued a release on Thursday morning after one of its community partners reported people having an unexpected reaction to “pink cocaine” in the north end of Halifax.

Nova Scotia Health is reminding people not to use alone and is directing people to overdose prevention sites. It’s also recommending people have naloxone on hand, even if they’re not intentionally using opioids.
