Four drivers charged with impaired driving offenses

Regional police charged four different people with impaired driving in HRM on Sunday.

At roughly 1:35 a.m., officers arrested and charged a 27-year-old woman with impaired driving offenses after she was seen driving in the area of Rutledge Street in Bedford.

A few minutes later, police stopped a driver on Argyle Street and arrested a 26-year-old man after observing signs of impairment. He was charged with failing to comply with a demand for evidentiary breath testing.

Roughly 10 minutes later, officers stopped a driver they believed to be impaired on Walter Havill Drive. The driver, a 38-year-old-man, was charged with operating a conveyance while impaired and operating a conveyance while over 80mg.

Finally, at roughly 3 a.m., a driver was stopped on Kearney Lake Drive. Officers arrested the driver after observing signs of impairment. The 21-year-old driver faces a number of impaired driving offenses.

The four drivers will appear in court at a later date to face the charges.
