The price of gas drops overnight; diesel is lifted a little

By CityNews Halifax Staff

A bit of a break for those needing gas this morning.

Overnight, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board moved the price for that fuel down by five cents.

That means it will now cost you $183.1 cents per litre at the pump.

Meantime, the provincial regulator pushed the price of diesel the other way, raising the price of that fuel up $3.1 cents to $198.9.

One year ago, gas was priced at $1.70 per litre, and diesel was $1.89.
